Hav-Roc, Inc. was the original company to produce and sell the saws since 1974. It took Ralph Dove eight years to design and secure a patent on the TreeSaw prior to 1974.

Dove ran a dozer for fifteen years when he saw the need for the TreeSaw. At that point, he began developing and building prototypes before the final production model received a patent. The TreeSaw was then put on the market to sell in three different sizes: skid-steer, farm tractor and dozer size.

This unique clearing blade is designed to saw trees and underbrush from pasture land, fence rows, waterways and levee berms. Under most conditions it won't destroy the present stand of grass, making the TreeSaw environmentally friendly.

The TreeSaw can be used to clear underbrush without damaging or removing prime trees, and to clear roadways or right-of-ways through timberland. Cutting flush with the ground and at times under the ground in good soil conditions without leaving any splinters or stobs that can cause damage to rubber tire equipment or livestock injury. This clearing process keeps sprout-back to a minimum. The debris can be piled and burned very easily since the stumps are left underground.

Good quality mild steel is used in the construction of the frame of this blade. The flexible blades and cutting teeth are made from a high-tensile alloy steel. The teeth are tipped with a hard-surface material to add hardness for wear-ability.

The teeth can be rebuilt with a hard surface electrode and then sharpened, or can be replaced with new weld-on teeth.

Ralph passed away in July of 2000 after a forty year dozing career, as well as the inclusion of the TreeSaw business in 1974.
